Leadership Academy
Guided by the feedback from members during our strategic planning process, the Cape Chamber is excited to launch our newest program in Leadership Academy. It was developed with a focus on supporting our members in the development and growth of their current and future organizational leaders. Through a comprehensive schedule of events, educational sessions, and practical experience, participants will explore various aspects of personal and professional development. "I am truly honored to have been part of the inaugural class of the Cape Leadership Academy. Each presenter brought invaluable insights into different components of leadership, offering perspectives that will benefit me for years to come. The session-focused reading materials and engaging follow-up sessions further enriched the experience. One of the highlights was the opportunity to connect with fellow leaders in the community, learning from their diverse experiences and expertise. I wholeheartedly recommend this program to any local business looking to elevate their leaders and drive meaningful growth. "

"As participant of the Cape Chamber Leadership Academy's inaugural class, I can confidently say it was a transformative experience. The blend of in-person and virtual sessions allowed for deep engagement and meaningful connections with fellow leaders. Each module was thoughtfully designed to enhance our leadership skills, focusing on personal development, community engagement, and effective communication.
The insights I gained about emotional intelligence and mentoring have not only improved my own leadership style but have also positively impacted my team. The networking opportunities with industry leaders and peers were invaluable, creating a supportive community that continues after the program's end.
I highly recommend the Cape Chamber Leadership Academy to any mid-level manager looking to elevate their career and make a lasting difference in their organization and community. It's an investment that pays dividends in personal and professional growth."
Katie Krodinger, Southeast Missouri State University

"Mondi Jackson was fortunate to have 2 of our up-and-coming leaders accepted into the Cape Girardeau Leadership program last spring. While both of these individuals have been in several internally sponsored leadership programs previously, the value for us was for them to meet with other talented and likeminded professionals from different backgrounds outside of our 4 walls. I believe it was very eye opening for them to understand that being a great leader applies equally to retail, professional services, manufacturing and small businesses. The skills and the discipline are the same. I also don’t want to forget the hidden value of this program. Former and future graduates of the Cape Leadership program will not only return to their workplaces with a renewed sense of self awareness and influence, but these talented professionals will assume greater and greater leadership roles in our community, the place we have chosen to live and raise our families."
Jim Franklin, Mondi Jackson LLC

"Leadership 2.0 (Leadership Academy) was a great program for our business to invest in with the Cape Chamber. Our digital manager, Tommy Dawson, was part of the class. Being new to a management position, he was able to learn skills to improve interpersonal, internal, and external communication. Tommy has taken the skills learned during the class and implemented them during his day-to-day at River Radio. If you have someone new to management or want to develop the leadership skills of a future manager I highly recommend Leadership 2.0 with the Cape Chamber. "
Mike Renick, River Radio
