CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO Southeast Missouri Pets will host its annual Gourmet Food Auction – Good Food, Great Cause, Happy Paws on Sunday, November 15, at the Montgomery Bank Training Center, located at 526 N Main St., Jackson, MO. The event brings together community members, local businesses, food lovers and animal supporters for an afternoon of good food and fun, all while raising money to help shelter pets.

Doors will open at 1:00 p.m., with hors d’oeuvres and light refreshments available before the live auction begins at 2:00 p.m.

Southeast Missouri Pets is currently seeking donations for the event, including gift cards, homemade dishes and baked goods, restaurant specialties, and other unique food-related or specialty items. Gift cards, gift baskets and other items may also be donated for the silent auction.

“This is one of our favorite events because it brings the community together in such a fun way,” said Jenn Farmer, Southeast Missouri Pets Executive Director. “Every item donated helps us continue caring for the dogs and cats who need us.”

Proceeds from the auction will help Southeast Missouri Pets provide food, shelter, medical care and adoption services for homeless and abandoned animals in our community.

Community members and businesses interested in donating can contact Southeast Missouri Pets at (573) 334-5837 or beth.salyer@semopets.org. Donation information is requested by Friday, November 6, to allow time for event preparation and promotion.
