LemonDrop Long Drive Raises Over $75,000 to Support Cancer Patients and Families
April 11, 2026 — The LemonDrop Foundation proudly announces that its 6th Annual LemonDrop Long Drive (LDLD), held on April 11, raised more than $75,000 to provide direct support for individuals and families impacted by cancer.
The event brought together an incredible show of community support, with more than 50 sponsors participating at both the local and national levels. In addition, 15 community long drivers competed in both long drive and fundraising competitions, demonstrating not only athletic talent but a deep commitment to the cause.
Among the competitors, Nick Martin emerged as the top overall fundraiser, followed by Dr. Seth Hudson and Amy McDonald. Collectively, the community long drivers raised more than $20,000 in support of the Foundation’s mission.
In the long drive competition, Emily Obergoenner claimed the title of Women’s Main Event Champion, while her husband, Todd Obergoenner, took home the Men’s Main Event Championship—making it a standout moment for the Obergoenner family.
The Foundation also honored the late Jason Watson with the Gautier Family Patient Advocate Award in recognition of his lasting impact on the cancer community. In his memory, the Foundation plans to establish a future grant to continue his legacy of patient advocacy.
“This is a milestone moment for the Foundation,” said Nate Gautier, Director of the LemonDrop Foundation. “The support from this event allows us to expand our reach and deepen our impact for patients and families navigating cancer.” Funds raised from the event will allow the Foundation to significantly expand its ChemoPak program, which provides essential items and encouragement to patients undergoing active treatment. The Foundation projects distributing between 400 and 500 ChemoPaks in 2026, increasing both access and support for those in need. Further the Foundation will distribute these funds to provide direct patient financial support. Event attendance also reached a new high, with more than 125 people gathering at TeeHouse Complex to show their support.
