The LemonDrop Foundation to Deliver Nearly 300 ChemoPaks to Local Cancer Patients
Cape Girardeau, MO — December 18, 2025 — The LemonDrop Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of testicular cancer and the importance of early detection, will deliver nearly 300 ChemoPaks to cancer patients on Thursday, December 18th, marking the organization’s largest donation to date. The care packages will be distributed to patients undergoing active treatment at Mercy Cancer Center and Saint Francis Cancer Institute. The first drop-off will take place at Mercy Cancer Center at 10:00 a.m., with a second delivery occurring immediately afterward at Saint Francis Cancer Institute.
The LemonDrop Foundation’s ChemoPak Program, launched in 2022, provides customized care packages designed to offer comfort and encouragement to patients during chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Each ChemoPak includes thoughtfully selected items such as lemon drops to help combat nausea, non-scented lotion, a blanket, and crossword books for patients to use during treatment sessions. “This year’s ChemoPak campaign represents our biggest investment of both time and resources,” said Nate Gautier, Director of The LemonDrop Foundation. “We look forward to this initiative every holiday season, but this year we were able to expand our impact in a meaningful way for patients in our community.”
Foundation board members and LemonDrop Long Drive fundraisers Nick Martin and Casey Crowell played a key role in preparing the care packages. Together with volunteers, they helped pack nearly 300 ChemoPaks on Tuesday, December 16th, at the Small Business Development Center.
The LemonDrop Foundation continues to grow its reach and impact, combining patient support programs with education and awareness efforts focused on early detection of testicular cancer.
