Spirit of America Nominations Now Open

Do you know someone who personifies the spirit of this country? Qualities such as patriotism, civic engagement, business leadership, volunteerism, or military service? Nominate them today for the 2025 Southeast Missourian Spirit of America Award!

This year's recipient will be recognized at the City of Cape Girardeau's Great American Fourth of July celebration, and a $1,000 cash prize will be awarded to a charity of the recipient's choice.

Organizations and individuals in Cape Girardeau, Perry, Bollinger, Stoddard, and Scott counties in Missouri are welcome to submit nominations.

The deadline is June 11.
