Facility Improvement and Infrastructure Grant Program powered by Childrens Trust Fund

The Facility Improvement and Infrastructure Grant Program, a partnership between Community Foundation of the Ozarks and Children's Trust Fund, will award grants to agencies that have a primary purpose of preventing, identifying, or treating child abuse and neglect.

The Facility Improvement and Infrastructure Grant Program powered by Children's Trust Fund has $670,000 to award to agencies addressing child abuse and neglect in the CFO service area. Eligible organizations, including 501(c)3 organizations or other IRS approved entities (government entities, school districts), are encouraged to apply. School applicants must currently provide specific child abuse and neglect prevention, identification, or treatment services to be eligible.

Important notes before applying:

Your agency must have a primary purpose of preventing, identifying, or treating child abuse or neglect.
The recommended budget proposal is $50,000 - $100,000. Applications that request more than $100,000 will not be considered.
This is a single year grant program with final reporting due one year from grant receipt.
Applications may be for a portion of an overall expense as long as the remaining cost has funding secured or one portion of the overall expense can be delineated with this grant program funding one separate portion.
Projects promoting or encouraging the use of restraints or isolation will not be considered.

Funding priorities are outlined below:
Equipment and furniture needs, including (but not limited to):
Waiting room and common area updates which improve the overall condition of the experience of children visiting the facility.
Field-of-work specific pieces of equipment such as examination room items, video equipment and room improvements that increase the comfort of children in the space during examination.
Appliances and other equipment necessary for providing services

Information and technology needs, including (but not limited to):
Software necessary to provide services and support operational needs, including financial/accounting programs
Hardware such as tablets, computers, workstations, printers, cameras, and other technology needs
Technology data security projects including firewalls, antivirus software, two-factor authentication services, data backup and recovery, and security preparation and monitoring services
Security cameras and access control systems
Technology infrastructure including but not limited to wired and wireless networks and hardware and server and storage devices

In awarding grants, the CFO will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status. As part of the grant process, all grantees will be required to affirm that, in providing services funded in whole or in part by a CFO grant, the grantee will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status either in its employment practices or in its policies and procedures concerning access to services.
