Cape Girardeau Area MAGNET works to foster a strong economic environment resulting in the retention, expansion, creation, and attraction of jobs and new investment in the area. The MAGNET serves as the lead contact for the area’s economic development efforts.

The Community Development Department incorporates innovative solutions, trends, and technologies to ensure an efficient, cost effective, and predictable development process.

 

Small Business Development Center
Starting a new venture, expanding an existing business or developing innovative technologies is tough. It requires flexibility and the ability to meet every challenge with a solution that moves a vision forward. To help, the Missouri SBDC at Southeast offers comprehensive services at little to no cost.

 

University of Missouri Extension Center
Through a network of county offices, the University of Missouri solves problems and engages with communities across all 114 counties and the City of St. Louis. MU faculty, staff and elected council members, who live in your community, work with you to identify local interests and issues and then offer relevant programming and resources to meet the unique needs of you and your community.

Room Rentals

The Cape Chamber has two rooms available for rent. Rentals are available in full day (8 hour) or half day (4 hour) increments.

Board Room

  • Larger of the two rooms
  • Dual skylights
  • Two large screen smart TVs with HDMI capability
  • Seats 40-50 classroom style
  • Seats 28 conference style

Chamber member pricing = $200/full day or $100/half day

Community pricing = $400/full day or $200/half day

Training Room

  • Lends itself well to smaller groups as it is the smaller of the two rooms
  • One large screen smart TV with HDMI capability
  • Seats 24 classroom style
  • Seats 24 conference style

Chamber member pricing = $100/full day or $50/half day

Community pricing = $200/full day or $100/half day

Equipment Rentals

The Cape Chamber has ceremonial ribbon, scissors, and shovels available for rent should you choose to host a ribbon cutting or groundbreaking outside of regular business hours.

Mailing Labels

Mailing labels are available to all Chamber members for an investment of $100.
