Safe House Marks October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month Activities
The Safe House for Women will observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month throughout October. Highlights of the month will include a Survivor Memorial & Dinner, various client activities at the Safe House shelter and outreach office, and participation in SEMO's Team Up! Against DV Football Game.

The pinnacle of the month will be VintageNOW X: Heroes & Legends on Saturday, October 19 at the Show-Me Center. The show will feature fashion that portrays world-changing women from throughout history and around the world. In addition, local community heroes will be recognized during the event. All proceeds from VintageNOW go to support the Safe House's new crisis shelter. Tickets are available at vintagenow.org.

All Chamber members are encouraged to show their support for the Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Purple Thursday. Wear purple on Thursday, October 24 and post your photo using the hashtags #purplethursday and #shfwdvam.
