Martin Becomes Certified Community Action Professional
In June 2019, Gina Harper-Martin completed the final testing in Columbia, MO to obtain her Certified Community Action Professional (CCAP) designation. The CCAP certification is designed for current and emerging managers or leaders in the Community Action Profession who are committed to the Vision and Values of Community Action and who aspire to receive recognition for their management and leadership skills. Martin has been employed by East Missouri Action Agency (EMAA) for almost six years and is the Lead Marketplace Health Insurance Certified Counselor. While her position ended July 31st as a health insurance counselor, Martin remains with EMAA in the capacity as Community Services Representative for the SkillUp program covering the counties of Cape, Perry and Bollinger. SkillUp is a voluntary program to help Food Stamp (SNAP) recipient ages 16-59 get free help with skills, training, and employer connections to obtain a job or a better job.
