Banterra Bank Announces Added Leadership to Cape Girardeau Branch; Philip Moore Joins As Market Executive & Michelle Jones As Banking Center Manager


Banterra Bank is pleased to announce that Philip Moore, with more than 24 years of banking and finance experience, joins the Banterra team as Market Executive for Cape Girardeau and Michelle Jones, with 19 years of banking experience, joins the team as Banking Center Manager.  Both Moore and Jones were previously with the Bank of Missouri.

“We are excited to have Phil and Michelle on our Banterra team and leading our Cape Girardeau efforts,” said Jeff May, president of Banterra Bank.  “Their experience, commitment to service, and community involvement are key components that we wanted and working under Brad Keck, our team leader for Cape Girardeau and East Prairie markets, I am certain we will continue to grow our business in Cape Girardeau.”

Philip Moore was most recently Vice President, Commercial Lender at Bank of Missouri in Jackson, Missouri where he served since 2010.  Prior to Bank of Missouri, Phil was employed with Regions Bank in Cape Girardeau, serving as Vice President with changing positions of Indirect Lending, Branch Manager, and most recently, as Community Banking Manager.

Born and raised in Cape Girardeau, Phil has strong community ties and relationship, and is significantly involved in area activities.   He was a prior recipient of Business Today “40 under 40,” a Leadership Cape alumni, a past board member for Cape Girardeau Public Schools and Cape Girardeau Country Club Board of Governors.

Phil attended Barret Graduate School of Banking in Memphis, Tennessee after getting his university studies at Southeast Missouri State University.  He graduated from Cape Central High School.

Michelle Jones most recently served as Branch Operations Officer with Bank of Missouri, where she worked for 19 year.  In addition to banking experience, Michelle is extremely community minded.  She is a member of Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of commerce and has served on several committees for this organization.  She is on the board of directors of Friends of St. Francis Hospital, serves as president of the Community Foundation Of The Ozarks and is treasurer for Cape Central Booster Club.
