Small nonfarm businesses in 100 Missouri counties and neighboring counties in Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Oklahoma are now eligible to apply for low interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, announced Director Tanya N. Cape Girardeau Public Schools (CGPS) will have a new name for its junior high school this year. The CGPS Board voted unanimously last month to change the name of Central Junior High School to Terry W. Kitchen Central Junior High, honoring the late Terry W. Kitchen. Kitchen spent over four decades serving the school district as its most well-known and beloved advocate. He passed away in February of this year after a battle with cancer.
