CHAMBER AMBASSADORS – 2011 Organization and Leadership Development Division   PURPOSE   Strengthen and involve an ever-increasing membership for the benefit of each individual member and the Chamber as a whole, while recognizing the mutually beneficial rewards of diversity.   GOAL   Contact new Chamber members and encourage them to participate in activities and committees.   OBJECTIVES   Conduct new member informational meetings throughout the year;   Work with the Vice President for Organization and Leadership Development in providing new member materials;   Personally contact new members and extend invitations to Chamber events;   GOAL Organize and host networking opportunities for Chamber members and prospective members.   OBJECTIVES   Co-sponsor monthly First Friday Coffee events with meaningful programs;   Co-sponsor monthly Business After Hours events.   GOAL   Serve as official hosts, goodwill representatives, and a congratulatory team in developing a positive awareness of the Chamber.   OBJECTIVES   Assist members with groundbreaking, grand opening, and ribbon cutting ceremonies;   Work with Chamber staff as hosts for events;   Promote Chamber’s mission and the programs available to members.   GOAL   Increase and strengthen Chamber membership through cooperative team efforts.   OBJECTIVES   Conduct an annual new member recruitment campaign in partnership with the Vice President for Organization and Leadership Development;   Conduct an annual mini-blitz membership campaign in partnership with the Vice President for Organization and Leadership Development;   Play a supportive role in membership retention;   Actively encourage area firms to support the Chamber through membership.
